2019 Plymtree Horse Show

We have made a number of changes to the schedule for this year, a link to which can be found at the end of this page.

Unfortunately, we are unable to run jumping classes again this year, but it is planned to re-introduce them for 2020. However, we are pleased to announce the return of the Gymkhana, which we were unable to run in 2018.

A number of classes will be qualifiers for the South West Pony Association (SWPA) Championship to be held in 2019 (or qualification can be held over for entry into the 2020 Championship).

If you are aiming to qualify in one of the relevant classes, please visit the organisation’s website to read the rules that will apply to the judging of those classes:

Also, Pure Bred and Part Bred Arab classes have been added, as well as a Best Turned Out in-hand class.

We are able to use the same excellent site as 2018 and will hold entry fees at last year’s level, so the show represents excellent value for money. There is no charge for spectator parking and entry to the Plymtree Country Fayre, which starts in the adjacent field at noon, is also free. For those members of the family who may not be as passionate about horses as the competitors, this is an excellent escape! It is also easily accessible for food and drink for all (although, other than entries for the Fancy Dress judging, horses are not allowed in the Fayre field).

Our aim with this friendly show is to raise as much money as possible for the Exeter branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) – all of our net proceeds go to this organisation, which we have supported for more than 40 years.

All entries are on the day, so come along and have a good time!
