A meeting will be held on Tuesday 14th September 2021 at 7.30pm at the Village hall.
To members of the Council: You are hereby summoned to attend the above meeting for the transaction of the following business.

A 15 minute period will also be set aside to allow Public Questions and receive reports from Police, DCC and EDDC.

AGENDA

  1. Apologies for Absence: To receive apologies and to approve reason for absence.
  2. Declaration of Interest: To declare any personal or pecuniary interests on the Agenda and their nature (Councillors with pecuniary interests must leave the meeting for relevant items).
    Suspend meeting to allow members of the public to participate and to receive reports from representatives of Police, DCC and EDDC
  3. Approval of Minutes of last meeting dated 6th July 2021
  4. Actions from last meeting not otherwise on the agenda: Welcome to new parish councillor Trudie Jedynak.

  1. Section 106 monies (SS):
    Actions from last meeting: SS to collate all of the parishioner responses and forward to the PC and to EDDC. IR to determine the requirement for a zoom meeting to discuss the outcome (13th July at 7.30) ahead of proceeding with specific project(s).
  2. P3 activity and monies:
    To note that Mr P Muxworthy had attended a strimmer course on behalf of the PC.
  3. Highways and Road Warden update (RT):
    To note that RT had sent out (via the Clerk) four invitations to tender for painting of phone box and bus shelters as well as and railings below the church. A deadline for receipt of 28th August had been set and two tenders received; these were opened by RT (RFO) and Clerk. RT circulated the outcome of tenders to the PC by e mail before the meeting.
    To ratify the outcome of the tendering process.

  5. Road safety outside primary school:
    Action from previous meetings not yet undertaken: SM to contact Phil Morgan of DCC Highways Dept in the first instance to discuss potential changes to road marking and other safety measures outside the village school.
  6. Planning applications:
    To note refusal of planning permission by EDDC re solar farm development at Langford.
    Update on possible planning breech near Clyst William Cross; discussion with EDDC enforcement officer
    21/1920/TRE Greenend House Felling of 2 diseased ash trees and stem of sycamore. To note neutral response submitted.
  7. Correspondence:
    P Gimber re dead ash tree opposite to school (update)
    P Gimber re Queen’s platinum jubilee tree planting
    Parishioner notification to IR re door to door salesmen. IR communication with PCSO.
