Village Hub Privacy Notice
Plymtree village hub is run by a volunteer team of local people for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic to gather and use information about households, their needs and their self-isolation status in Plymtree. The team is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we collect, use and store.
Holding your data
We record the name, address, phone number(s) and email of anyone who contacts us either to request our assistance or to offer their services as a volunteer. We will also record, when offered, the date isolation began, whether a household is isolating for self protection or in quarantine, the number of people in the household, any critical needs, and whatever orders we receive for goods from the Plymtree Community Shop or for collection of prescriptions from a pharmacy. We will also store any sensitive personal data (health related) if it is offered to us for the benefit of the individual or household. This information is stored in online spreadsheets that may be downloaded to the computer of the few volunteers who are coordinating the efforts of the hub. We will keep your information securely.
Voicemails are deleted once their content is recorded onto a spreadsheet and emails/order forms will be retained only for as long as they remain relevant. All data will be securely deleted once the government declares that the pandemic is over and this service is no longer required.
